Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Nelson was married last November to a beautiful young lady, Nikki, who he met while attending BYU Idaho.  Less than three months into their marriage Nikki was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Nikki and Nelson both had to quit their jobs and drop out of college to focus all their attention on Nikki's recovery. 

Besides the physical and emotional trauma of this extremely serious disease, Nikki's illness has been a financial burden that was obviously unexpected.  Nikki and Nelson never complain about their situation and have played the hand they have been dealt in a way that inspires all who hear their story. They never ask for help and are truly grateful for every gesture of kindness shown them.

Life could be a dream

Nelson Nash grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley, attending the local elementary school and graduating from Santa Ynez High School in 2003. Nelson was a student athlete, playing Varsity Baseball and Varsity Football at Santa Ynez High School.  Nelson was also active in scouting and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.   After attending a year of college Nelson left for a two year mission through his church, returning in the summer of 2006.

Benefit for Nikki & Nelson

Both Nikki and Nelson were deeply touched when I told them that Elizabethan Report, Tandemoro and Romeo Delta had agreed to play at SOhO to help defer some of their unexpected expenses.

We'd like to thank SOhO Restaurant & Music Club in Santa Barbara for their generosity in letting Jones House Music present a benefit for Nikki and Nelson on October 2, 2008 at 8 PM featuring the popular Utah based band Elizabethan Report, Tandemoro and LA based band Romeo Delta.
